Iraq's 30 Billion

As America continues to run up huge debt, it seems that Iraq is running with a surplus of more than 30 billion dollars. Given the fact that we are borrowing about 12 billion a month for this war, I think this is an outrage. If Iraq has any surplus, it should be used to help pay for this mess. This  30 billion dollar surplus could cover two months of the war, money we wouldn't have to borrow. At the very least it should be used to rebuild their infrastructure or to help lift people out of poverty. Maybe the Iraqi government could pass a stimulus package to help stimulate the economy. I'm sure the two million refugees who were displaced as a result of the war could use some of that money. How about helping with the cost to care for the American soldiers who were seriously injured and now find themselves permanently disabled or compensation for the families of American soldiers who lost their loved ones? I just find it ridiculous that Iraq is able to have a surplus while we are there on borrowed money. I remember hearing about how Iraqi oil will pay for the war and have been wondering when we would actually see it happen. I didn't think it would ever happen, but here we are. Iraq is in a position to help pay for the war, but instead gets to bank it and earn interest.
